Sañjīvanam
India’s elderly population is steadily growing, and elders today are far from a “retired” workforce. They are a rich source of discipline, cultural values, and lived experience. At the same time, meaningful engagement and lifelong learning are essential to ensure mental well-being, social connection, and a continued sense of purpose.
Inspired by this belief, the Nischinta Foundation has established Sanjivanam – the Active Ageing Centre at the Lions Rukhi Dayal Chimnani Home for the Aged, Jeedimatla Village, Kuthbullapur Mandal, with support from the Lions Club and HelpAge India. The Centre offers programmes in health & wellness, knowledge and awareness, recreation, cognitive stimulation, and lifelong learning, along with regular health and nutrition camps, social outings, and library access. Sanjivanam enables elders to age with dignity, purpose, and continued participation in society.
